Individuals and Communities: are here - and there.. and every where

Individuals and Communities are either: Developed or Developing (and often, both)

How so? Think of a developed community. Western? Eastern? Vibrant? Impoverished? Rich? Poor? Really? Sometimes a mix. Most times a mix. Rich with cash but poor with spirit. Flush with hope but starved of opportunity. Healthy but sick. Sick, but stronger than steel. Desperate to help and filled with desparation. Confused but clear. Simple, but complex. Alone, individual and scared - needing a community, a purpose, a destiny.

So, what do we mean by "Engage"? DO SOMETHING! What's stopping you??

1) ENGAGE & ENABLE INDIVIDUALS:

Some people say they want to make a difference, but don't know how. Some people say they don't have time, or enough money. Others think that what they do as individuals doesn't make any difference to the world. The Lightning Fast Foundation is our response to those concerns. We've felt the same way so we decided collectively to make a difference. To face those issues and do something about them. That's what we mean by "ENGAGE". Like us you can become a part of something that's making a difference in this world.

2) ENGAGE AND ENABLE COMMUNITIES:

YOU are our strategy. You (the individual) get involved in your (developed) community. Ride a bike; make a movie; tell the world. Raise some cash. Connect your community. Enable the individuals in it. Enable your community (your work, your household, your friends..)

We provide you tools, information and support to make it happen. We engage with you.

The Lightning Fast Foundation in turn engages with carefully selected community based projects around the world on your behalf. We invest our resources in projects that are making a difference to the lives of children. And unlike the high profile charities, there are also many smaller projects that are in desperate need of financial support. The unsung hereos who are so busy helping people that they don't have a chance to raise the support they need. They're getting on with the job, day in, day out. Those are the kinds of projects that the Lightning Fast Foundation seeks out and helps.

We take the money we raise from you, and other sources, and plough it into the people and projects that are giving their lives for others. So when we ask you to engage with us, we're asking you to engage with them too.

Where does our money come from?: We accept funding from who ever will support our vision and engage with us. Where does our money go? Check out our causes. See www.bulembu.org as an example of where we want to go. What else? We will pass through 100% of your fundraising money, and we also aim to pass through almost 100% of donations. We are are audited by Independant Examiners annually so everyone can see there is no funny business. Open. Above board.

So, please, get involved where you can, give what you can afford to and we'll ensure that people who need it get it.
